Murphy Radio's self-titled debut album sets itself apart from their EP - "Naftalena" and single - "Last Lonely Giant" by straying from progressive styles to a more close, emotional tone. It lends its sound from 'twinkle', midwest emo bands and math/instrumental rock acts such as Clever Girl; Bulletproof Tiger; Don Caballero; Ativin; Shiner; Sabot; P.E.E; Hurl.

Told through the eyes of a girl on her journey through school toward graduation and adulthood, the album touches on the common struggles of loneliness, belittlement, and social abandonment.
